Our Story
It all began on a trip to Siena, Italy when Top Chef: Season 5 Fan Favorite, Fabio Viviani, returned to his native country with Lucas Stoioff and David Rekhson, founders of Chicago-based hospitality company, DineAmic Hospitality. It was there, as they dined at a local bar called “La Taverna”, that the concept for Siena Tavern was born. The open kitchen, vintage decor, and energetic ambiance was the perfect authentic inspiration they traveled to find.
Siena Tavern has brought the sophistication and charisma of Viviani’s cuisine as well as the energy of a bustling bar, to the epicenter of Chicago’s dining scene. Combining Fabio’s crowd-pleasing made-from-scratch menu with DineAmic’s success in the hospitality sphere, Siena Tavern offers diners an experience that is simultaneously comfortable, vibrant, social and polished.
Our Aesthetic
The 10,000 square foot space’s décor reflects a hybrid of a rustic Italian market, a fine dining restaurant, and a modern, industrial tavern, bridging old world comfort and hospitality with a contemporary menu and design. The bustling 200-person dining room and spacious bar landscape blends perfectly with Chicago's energetic River North dining & nightlife scene. A notable wine collection and extensive hand-crafted cocktail list pairs with with the approachable menu ranging from antipasti, pizzas and mozzarellas to fresh pastas, entrees and desserts.
